Springtime Competition

The Ann Arbor Figure Skating Club is proud to host the 24th Annual Springtime Invitational Competition. The dates for this competition is May 15, 16, 17 and 18 2008.Referee for the event is Margaret Faulkner and Assistant Referee is Laura Maki. Competition Chairperson is Ann Dougherty and Co-Chairperson is Jim Achtenberg.

The competition will host 600 entries, with 1,000 starts in 4 days. It will have skaters of all levels including, but not limited to, Basic Beginner, Low and High Beginner, PrePreliminary, Preliminary, PreJuvenile, Open Juvenile, Juvenile, Intermediate, Novice, Junior and Senior. This year we have PreJuvenile, Juvenile Dance teams. We are also excited about having Juvenile, Intermediate, Novice, Junior and Senior Pair teams.

We have 79 Clubs participating in this years event and we would like to thank them all for helping make the 24th Annual Springtime Competition a big success!

Basic Skills Competition

The Basic Skills Competition will be held June 14, 2008. Competition information can be found on this web site. The Competition will have many events from Basic Skills through Preliminary. It will include fun events and Showcase for all levels.

The Ann Arbor Basic Skills Competition is one of the Michigan Basic Skills Series Competitions and points will be given for the Series events. Competition Chairperson is Jim Achtenberg with Referee Laura Maki. For more information you can contact Jim Achtenberg at jacht@umich.edu.
